For over a hundred years, the red brick road has encircled the Oxford Town Square. Look how the carefully laid bricks have survived a century of use.
Since 1843, Oxford Town Square has been the center of activities. It was the site of the First Benton County Seat. More recently, the Harness Horse for Youth Foundation displayed harness racing equipment here. In 2025, the youth organization will present a convocation at Benton Central High School on April 25th.

Goal of the Life and Times of the Great Dan Patch For Oxford Town Square
Located on Michigan Street and East McConnell.
Built by the Messner family, located on the west side of the Square.
My goal is to have a statue of Dan Patch in the center of the Town Square. The model can be the one shown from the Harness Racing Museum and Hall of Fame in Goshen, NY. --Gwen Erwood
